I believe that it is important in life to have an education but lets face it college is not for everyone. I do know that people are getting degrees and not using them. I know a couple of people who have jobs that do not require a degree yet they have masters. I do not understand why they go through all the time and money to not apply and not have the career they are seeking. I really really do not understand why people get into college and then realize they are not prepared and end up in debt from students loans. I have asked those who have degrees and do not use them in their proffession and I their responses are either they make more in the job position they currently have or can not find a job due to lack of positions available. I do believe we have too much education
I agree with you. I have a friend who is in tens of thousands of dollars in debt with a degree in Psychology. She worked 7 years to get her Masters degree in Psychology, a bachelors degree in broadcasting, and a minor in radio. She now works as a admin at a bank. All that money and time for not one but three degree, and she does not make any more than any other admin who has no degree. It is so ingrained into society that we must go get a "higher" education that we do it to our detriment. Is the debt worth the position you get after you graduate?
